This week saw the second induction for Q Hotels for their 30 strong team of Hospitality Diploma Champions. We now have support all over England in all our hotels for this great new qualification being taught in schools and colleges as of last month.

The Diplomas require strong support fromemployers to offer placements, mentoring and the voice of experience to talk toprospective students and parentsabout this fantastic new qualification and the world of work in thehospitality industry.

The Diploma in Hospitality focuses on four main themes:

The Hospitality industry, People in Hospitality, Hospitality operations and Business and Finance in Hospitality. These introduce learners to the essential things they need to know about the industry.Learning about the issues that are affecting the industry today, how it works and be able to develop useful skills to enable them to work within it.

Communication and interpersonal skills , teamworking, problem solving, numeracy and knowledge of IT are all important if you want to work in this sector.

Q Diploma Champions and the hotels within the group will play a key support role and offer experiences to the diploma students as well as talking to other employers to get them on board with support for this exciting and innovative new qualification.
