The role of Sous Chef is an ideal opportunity for you to join this one of a kind hotel group at one of it's Golf and Spa hotels.

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Sous Chef to join our team. Working with our new Head Chef, you will join him in responsibility for improving and maintaining food quality standards whilst developing and motivating the team.

Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel with multi outlet operation eg restaurant of at least 80 covers and conference and banqueting facilities.

The primary responsibility in this role is to provide exceptional food to all our guests and assist in the efficient running of the Kitchen to Q standard and to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and profitability by leading by example.

Other key areas of activity in this role are managing the daily operation of the kitchen with the Head Chef and in his absence, looking at customer demands and business trends through liaison with the restaurant and food and beverage team. Controlling food costs and having a good understanding of the profit and loss account for the department. Ensuring that the team are communicated to regarding daily business levels and are aware of the business needs and the objectives of the Kitchen team.To train, develop and coach the Kitchen team to achieve their maximum potential and carer goals in line with company policy using personal development plans and reviews regularly.To ensure that the team are managed on a daily basis within the company guidelines and in line with company policies and procedures. Making sure that performance is managed regarding sickness, absence and policies in place within the group.To ensure that all legislation regarding health and safety is complied with at all times alongside company standards and procedures. To ensure that the Kitchen team are adequately trained in health and safety and the required level of knowledge is maintained.
