YOUR BRIEF:

To help manage all aspects of the cleaning and laundering for the hotel bedrooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and that the company image are maintained at all times

AS ASSITANT HEAD HOUSEKEEPER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Ensuring that our guests experience includes nothing but the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout their stay is an essential aspect of this role

· Helping to train and develop new and existing staff

· Taking on responsibility for certain aspects within the department and taking overall responsibility for the department in the absence of the Head Housekeeper.

· Ensuring that a percentage of rooms are visually checked to ensure standards are maintained, even though the hotel follows a self-checking system of cleaning rooms.

TO BE A ONE OF A KIND ASSISTANT HEAD HOUSEKEEPER:

· Teach room attendants everything you know - inflict knowledge

· Assist other’s in their department, if workload allows.

· Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE

· Encourage the conservation of energy and recycling at every opportunity

· Actively encourage new ideas to help continually improve the housekeeping department.

YOUR TALENTS:

· You will have a proven track record of supervising a large housekeeping team, through a previous role in a large hotel (150+ rooms)

· Ideally you will know your way around Front Office Based IT Systems

· You will be flexible and adaptable

· You will be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone
