Job Description
Reporting Manager: Head Chef
Responsible for
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kitchen areas.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Carry out cleaning schedules within the allocated time and complete the relevant documentation.
2. Comply with Company hygiene standards, policies and systems.
3. Good knowledge of the different chemicals and their safe and effective use.
4. Store chemicals and equipment properly.
5. Possess a good knowledge of the correct usage and cleaning of all equipment, both basic and dangerous, within the kitchen.
6. Be aware of and understand kitchen safety rules, specifically:
Hazard spotting procedure
COSHH
HACCP
Accident Reporting procedures
First Aid Procedures
7. Aware of and follow the ordering procedure for equipment and chemicals that may be used within your department.
8. Understand and allow for the different business levels and the effects they have on the department.
9. Work with other members of your team as well as other departments maintaining effective communication.
10. Understand and adhere to the basic food hygiene principals.
11. Demonstrate safe manual handling techniques as shown to you in your departmental induction.
12. Knowledge of the correct use, maintenance and storage of the different warning signs.
13. Respond positively to any reasonable request or duties as asked by management.
Preferably looking for a candidate with some experience.
