Job Description

YOU’RE BRIEF:

To assist in the provision of the hotel conference and banqueting facilities, offering the highest professional standards of service for our customers and maximising profitability

AS A CONFERENCE PORTER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Setting up Conference and Banqueting rooms in accordance with the function requirements and in accordance with Company and hotel standards and procedures.

· Servicing and break down of Conference and Banqueting rooms in accordance with Company and hotel standards and procedures.

· Ensuring all conference and banqueting equipment is stored in a safe and tidy condition.

· Carrying out service of food and beverage items, as directed, taking every opportunity to upsell.

· Ensuring that our guests experience includes nothing but the highest levels of customer service throughout their stay.

TO BE A ONE OF A KIND CONFERENCE PORTER:

· Provide a warm welcome to guests when they arrive in conference areas – use their name and try to

remember regular orders

· Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE

· Take time to talk to your guests – pre-empt any requirements

· Have a natural flare with guests and customers.

· Have a drive for quality and excellence in customer service.

YOUR TALENTS:

· Ideally you will have worked in a similar role before

· You have a passion for customer service

· You have a proven track record of service delivery

· You’ll be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone

· You will be flexible and adaptable
