Job Description
YOUR BRIEF:
To be pro-active in developing revenue for the hotels through identifying and winning new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships and cultivating new business streams. To arrange sales appointments for external proactive sales teams, hotel show rounds, sales blitzes and deliver market strategy through mail shots, e blasts and telephone contact.
AS A SALES RESEARCHER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
* Researching all leads and companies as specified by the Regional Directors of Sales (RDOS) in order to fully understand the organisations requirements for hotel accommodation, conference facilities, training, banqueting and local preferred rates, etc
*Identifying target organisations from correspondence, internet, networks and material within the hotels and to assess potential opportunities through phone conversations
* Making appointments for the proactive teams with appropriately identified customers and to confirm these in writing. Advising the Sales Manager of any specific topics for discussion during the appointment.
*Identifying sales opportunities for QHotels where appropriate and to log all such leads sent to other hotels for appropriate follow up
*Following up leads received from hotels and send feedback within seven days of the outcome
TO BE A ONE OF A KIND SALES RESEARCHER:
* Actively promote the individual hotels at every opportunity, including promotional events and showrounds to prospective customers
*Use initiative to ‘go the extra mile’ for potential clients to make their event individual and unique
* Come up with innovative ways of selling the hotels – advising the Regional DOS at all times
*Provide a warm welcome to clients when you meet them – use their name
*Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE
YOUR TALENTS:
* You can prove that you’re great with sales research, by perhaps a similar job in the past
*You’re good with numbers and also written and spoken English
*Ideally you will know your way around Event Management IT Systems
*You’ll be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone
*You will be flexible and adaptable
