Job Description
YOUR BRIEF:
To manage all event sales enquiries for Norton Park Hotel and Hampshire Court Hotel in order to secure the business and maximize all revenue opportunities.
AS AN EVENT SALES MANAGER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
~ Positively approaching all sales opportunities for the conference market and for all training series, yielding the business to achieve the sales plan and revenue targets.
~Increase the Weddings/Banquets & Special event market segments at the hotel, giving opportunities to the sales team in yielding the business to achieve the sales plan and revenue targets across the budget
~Generating & maintaining Clubs & Association sales plus Masonic business placed.
~ Understand the implications of Events business in relation to other hotel revenue streams e.g. transient & group bookings; taking into account lead in times to ensure maximization of revenue in all streams.
~Drive strategy and targets into the Events Team.
~ To drive conversion for the hotels and reduce turn downed business by having a team who are fully focused on cross referral’s with the region and the group.
TO BE A ONE OF A KIND EVENT SALES MANAGER:
~ Actively promote the hotel at every opportunity, including promotional events and showrounds to prospective customers
~Use initiative to ‘go the extra mile’ for potential clients to make their event individual and unique
~ Come up with innovative ways of selling the hotel – advising the DOS/ Regional Event Sales Manager at all times
~Provide a warm welcome to clients when you meet them – use their name
~Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE
YOUR TALENTS:
~You can prove that you’re great with sales, by perhaps a similar job in the past
~ Previous experience in a Conference hotel, centre or similar facility. Position ideally of supervisory or management level taking direct responsibility for a team
~ Ideally you will know your way around Event Management IT Systems
~ You’ll be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone
~You will be flexible and adaptable
