**Daytime Staff required**
JOB TITLE:
Conference and Events Operations Assistant
Reporting to:
F&B Services Manager and Conference & Events Operations Supervisor
PRIMARY
ACCOUNTABILITY:
To liaise with the departmental manager in ensuring that all conferences and events run smoothly and efficiently and that customer/guest satisfaction is maintained at all times.
Key accountabilities:
Daily Operations
- Meeting deadlines set by clients, hotel and other parties involved in holding a
conference and/or event
- Ensuring that conference rooms are set up and broken down to the required
standard in line with the QHotels Conference Standards where applicable.
- The service of guests in line with management / supervisory instruction
- Ensuring the departmental SOP Manual is being adhered to
- Reporting any maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Manager
Customer Service
- To deal with all customer and guest comments or complaints and to pass on
any relevant information to your Supervisor.
- To be polite & courteous to all guests and visitors to the hotel at all times.
- Liaising with the Manager and Supervisors to ensure the service of food, wine and other beverages to meets the hotels standards
- Ensuring all conference organisers are greeted and their days expectations are run through
- Adherence to the QHotels Customer Charter
Controlling Costs / Revenue
- Ensuring that all equipment within the department (hotel owned or hired) is used, stored and cleaned correctly to reduce the amount of damage.
- To ensure that dirty linen is counted
Communication
- Adhering to the hotels communication policy
- Communicating with the team regarding the day’s business
Health & Safety
- Ensuring that overall standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times in both front and back of house
- Reporting any faulty equipment to your Manager / Supervisor immediately
