Job Description

YOU’RE BRIEF:

To implement Revenue Management strategies for accommodation and event space in order to maximise revenue potential and increase competitive share, as set by the Revenue Manager.

AS A RESERVATIONS MANAGER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Maximising room sales and revenue for the hotel and planning towards revenue targets by monitoring and adjusting availability and rate controls.

· Compiling a financial forecast on a weekly basis for accommodation

· Compiling statistical data to set future pricing & selling strategies for accommodation for the duration of the hotels booking window, including packages and individual meeting room strategies.

· Setting inventory strategies with Revenue Manager and Conference Events Department Manager (as required) for both accommodation and conference.

· Updating inventory strategies in Protel and onward distribution channels.

· Utilising all distribution channels to ensure book-ability and market penetration.

TO BE A ONE OF A KIND RESERVATIONS MANAGER:

· Build up a rapport with regular clients

· Use positive language at all times during telephone conversations

· Provide a warm welcome to clients when you meet them – use their name

· Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE

· Have a drive for quality and excellence in customer service.

YOUR TALENTS:

· A proven track record of Reservations Management through a similar job in the past.

· You will know your way around Front Office Based IT Systems

· Previous experience of managing a team

· You will be flexible and adaptable

· Be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate to all customer levels.
