Job Description

YOUR BRIEF: To assist in the preparation and serving of dishes to our AA rosette standards. You will also be contributing to our guests receiving the highest levels of customer satisfaction when dining with us.

AS A CHEF DE PARTIE YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Preparing and producing all dishes to the required standard at all times

Completing all tasks as specified by the Head Chef or other supervisor, on any section of the kitchen, to the Company standard.

Helping to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction at all times

Working quickly and calmly whilst promoting good working relations within the kitchen.

Maintaining personal hygiene standards at all times

TO BE A ONE OF A KIND CHEF DE PARTIE:

Teach trainee chefs everything you know – inflict knowledge

Assist other chefs in their department, if workload allows.

Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE

Encourage the conservation of energy and recycling at every opportunity

Come up with innovative ways of presenting food – advising Head Chef at all times

YOUR TALENTS:

You have a passion for cooking

You can prove that you are able to prepare dishes to a four star standard, by perhaps a similar job in the past

Ideally you will have passed your CIEH level 2 within the last 2 years and be working towards your NVQ level 3 in Food production

You’ll be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone

You will be flexible and adaptable

For Conferences, Special Events and Meetings, Norton Park has versatility as its middle name.
