Job Description

YOUR BRIEF:

To be responsible for the preparation and serving of all pastry dishesto meet the required high standard at all times to ensure customer satisfaction.

AS A PASTRY CHEF YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

ó Preparing and producing all deserts and sweets to the required standard at all times.

ó Completing all tasks as specified by the Head Chef or other supervisor, in the pastry section of the kitchen, to the Company standard.

ó Helping to achieve maximum profitability and customer satisfaction at all times.

ó Working quickly and calmly whilst promoting good working relations within the kitchen.

ó Maintaining personal hygiene standards at all times.

TO BE A ONE OF A KIND PASTRY CHEF:

C Teach trainee chefs everything you know – inflict knowledge.

C Assist other chefs in their department, if workload allows.

C Say hello to any guests or colleagues you meet as you walk around the hotel - SMILE.

C Encourage the conservation of energy and recycling at every opportunity.

C Come up with innovative ways of presenting food – advising Head Chef at all times.

YOUR TALENTS:

J You have a passion for cooking.

J You can prove that you are able to prepare dishes to a four star standard,in similar job in the past.

J Ideally you will have passed your CIEH level 2 within the last 2 years and be working towards your NVQ level 3 in Food production.

J You’ll be confidently able to talk to anyone and everyone.

J You will be flexible and adaptable.

OUR PLACE:

The Park Royal Hotel, part of QHotels, is situated in the countryside village of Stretton, 4 miles from Warrington Town Centre. The hotel comprises of 146 bedrooms, Restaurant, Lounge Bar, Conference and Banqueting suites that can cater for up to 400 guests. The hotel also includes a fantastic Leisure Club, with 2 gyms, dance studio and 22 meter swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, plus relaxation area and 7 beauty treatment rooms.
