Job Description
Part of Q Hotels Group Limited, Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, situated in 170 acres of beautiful Shropshire countryside. The role of Restaurant Manager at Telford Hotel and Golf Resort is crucial in leading the Restaurant operation within the Hotel, ensuring that we deliver the best quality of product and services to our ever more discerning guests and deliver the profitability required for the success of the business.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a passion for delivering high quality customer service alongside efficient and effective operational procedures and will be an excellent communicator.
YOUR BRIEF:
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Providing clear leadership and direction to employees within the Restaurant Department.
- Sharing your skills and experience and supporting the Development of your team who already have a very strong learning ethos.
- Co-ordination of the operation of Food and Beverage service within the Department to ensure service excellence for our customers and achievement of Key performance indicators.
- Planning to ensure the implementation of the agreed department strategy.
- Helping to achieve the maximum profitability within the Department - working to targets.
- Encouraging the conservation of energy and re-cycling at every opportunity.
YOUR TALENTS
- You have the ability to lead and develop a team to support achievement of our business goals.
- You possess sound Team Leadership skills and experience in a high quality restaurant environment.
- Excellent Training and development skills and experience, an eye for detail
- You have a passion for customer service.
- Sound knowledge of cost and stock control techniques
- You have excellent Communication Skills
- You have high personal standards of presentation.
- You are flexible and adaptable

OUR PLACE:
Telford Hotel and Golf Resort in Shropshire is set in 170 acres of counrtryside with panoramic views overlooking the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage site. Recently refurbished in 2008 the Hotel has 114 guest rooms of which 9 bedrooms are located in the historic Darby House, once the home of Abraham Darby, who engineered the famous Ironbridge. The rest of the rooms are beautifully appointed air-conditioned rooms of high quality and contemporary design.
Telford Hotel and Golf Resort offers a Restaurant, three bars, Leisure and Golf facilities. We have a conference suite with a capacity for up to 200 Delegates and smaller meeting rooms to accommodate up to 50.
The hotel also benefits from a beautifully appointed Spa and Leisure Club.
